### The Birth of BOMB

The BOMB token was originally deployed on March 16th, 2021, at 11:10pm UTC by an anonymous developer '*Bob*'. A simple yet revolutionary 1% burn on each transaction and an initial supply of 1 billion.

### Turmoil and Decline

However, the honeymoon phase was short-lived. Just days after its launch, disillusionment set in as Bob's apparent disinterest in the project became evident. Despite the community's efforts to breathe new life into BOMB with a dedicated [website](https://www.fbomb.finance/) and a lottery dApp, disaster struck when Bob offloaded his supply, triggering a catastrophic price drop. The once-vibrant BOMB community began to lose its fervor, and momentum waned.

### Rebirth & Resurgence

In a bold move to reignite BOMB's flame, the investors behind fBOMB and MCLB united on May 25th, 2021. Determined to breathe new life into the project, they embarked on a mission to revitalize BOMB under fresh leadership and a renewed vision for success.

### **Token Distribution:**

The initial issuance of MCLB tokens commenced with 50 million tokens, with approximately 38 million initially allocated to multisig wallets. Over time, the entire supply held in multisig wallets was burned, and an additional approximately 3 million MCLB tokens were market bought and subsequently burned.

### **Buyback and Burn Strategy:**

MCLB implements a buyback and burn mechanism to manage its token supply and enhance its value proposition. Notably, buybacks and burns of MCLB tokens are exclusively conducted using liquid assets from the DAO treasury. $MCLB serves not only as a utility token but also as the governance token within the ecosystem, facilitating progressive decentralization.

Governance primarily revolves around $MCLB tokenholder (DAO) voting, which is crucial for decision-making within the ecosystem. Tokenholders oversee the management of the community treasury and make key decisions regarding ecosystem development, including product expansion and focus areas.

To ensure the DAO functions as a fully decentralized and autonomous user-governed entity, a formalized decision-making process is essential. In a permissionless ecosystem with open smart contract systems, all participants should have the opportunity to propose changes and enhancements.
